• Day-1. ROME: Arrive in Rome and transfer to your hotel and continue with a walking tour of “Baroque Rome”. Visit: Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza del Popolo, Pincio Hill and the Spanish Steps.
• Day-2. ROME: Tour the State of Vatican. Visit the Vatican Museum with: Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Maps Gallery, Raphael’s Lodge, the Sistine Chapel, seat of the Conclave where Popes are elected, with ceilings by Michelangelo and the Vatican Gardens, St. Peter’s Basilica the largest Catholic Church in the world, with Michelangelo’s masterpiece “La Pieta”, and “Glory” by Bernini. Also visit the Catacombs of St. Peter’s Church. Later continue with a tour of Ancient Rome. See: Colosseum, Titus Arch, Constantine’s Arch, Forum Romanum, Foro Traiano, Campidoglio, and the Victor Emanuel Monument.
• Day-3. ROME/FLORENCE: Depart for Florence. Guided city tour of Florence. Visit: Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry’s bronze doors, and the Piazza de lla Signoria. Also visit the Cathedral with it’s famous cupola built by Brunelleschi, Church of Santa Croce and Ponte Vecchio, the unique Renaissance Bridge with some of the best stores in the world. • Day-4. FLORENCE: Visit Museo Nazionale Del Bargello with the works of great artists such as Michelangelo, Cellini, Donatello, and Gianbologna'smasterpiece "Oceano". Later join your Tour Director on a walking tour to visit Piazza Michelangelo for one of the best views of Florence.
• Day-5. PISA-GENOA-FERRY: Depart to Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistry and the Cathedral. Continue along the Ligurian coast to the city of Genoa. On arrival panoramic visit to the boyhood home of Christopher Columbus. See the 18th century Ducal Palace, San Matteo Square, St. Lawrence Cathedral, Andrea Doria Palace and the famous Royal Palace. Later board an overnight ferry to Spain.
• Day-6. BARCELONA-SITGES: Arrive in Barcelona and continue with a guided city tour. See the landmarks of the capital of Catalonia: Gothic Quarter, the former fortified Roman village with numerous Gothic monuments, the Cathedral, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, Plaza de Rei, the most noble square in Barcelona, Royal Palace, Ribera Quarter, the wonderful Church of the Sacred Family, and the Columbus Lookout, a 50 meter iron column supporting a statue of the discovery of America. Transfer to nearby Sitges, rated as the number one resort town in Catalonia, and your beach hotel.
• Day-7. BARCELONA-NIGHT TRAIN: Relax on the sandy beaches of Sitges or visit numerous antique and souvenir shops. Option: Use local transportation to travel to Barcelona and visit Palau Aguilar, which houses the Picasso Museum. Free time for shopping at La Rambla or visit Port Vell,Barcelona’s new entertainment complex. Board a night sleeper train to Madrid.
• Day-8. MADRID: City tour of Madrid. You can see: Retiro Park, the Opera, and Puerta del Sol. Continue to Plaza Mayor, built by Jose Herrera in the 16th century, Plaza de la Villa, Town Square, Basilica de San Miguel, and Capilla del Obispo, the only Gothic temple in Madrid. Then visit Palacio Real and the Prado Museum, with masterpieces by Velasquez, Goya, Murillo, and Ribera as well as those by Flemish and Italian artists.
• Day-9. MADRID-EL ESCORIAL-TOLEDO: Excursion to the Madrilen country side. Travel to Valle de los Caidos, monument built by the former Spanish leader, General Francisco Franco, to commemorate those who died in the Spanish Civil War. Continue to El Escorial the magnificent Palace-Monastery in the Guadarrama Mountains. Then to Toledo, the former capital of Spain. Visit: The Cathedral, Alcazar, Synagogue de Santa Maria la Blanca, Puente del Alcantar and Sao Tome Church. Late return to Madrid.
• Day-10. DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your return flight
